The Robot Garage, in Birmingham. We spent the afternoon there during the power outage. This is my masterpiece. Its a thunderstorm. The kids were not impressed.

Birthday Wrapping
Happy First Birthday, Arthur!
A Bean Bag
A bean bag. Hours of fun. The first one was for our awsome nephew for his birthday. It stands up!
Towels on Fire
No stranger to fire in the kitchen, I am sewing flames on dishtowels.
QUILTING IN JULY
I have decided to make a quilt. Nothing can stop me now! Except for maybe adequate time and experience. Grandma Bunny has made many quilts and we are related, so I think I can do it.
Fabrics include old pillowcases and other bits of cloth that I've been hoarding. If I sew them into something, I won't have to store the fabric anymore.
BABY BOY ROOM
When we learned our new baby would be a boy, our first thought was... Robots. But since this room is knotty pine, it seemed more like a woodland theme with a side of cowboy. Garage sale lamp and frames. Embrodiery work inspired by a family handmade quilt. Vintage cowboy hat.
The rocking chair is from Great Grandma Olive and the wall quilt is by Great Grandma Hendricks. The curtains are a Japanese print--my mom made these. Mom also sewed the crib bedding. Fabrics from Repro Depot.com .
Scanned graphics from the fabric are placed on a textured background, printed on 8.5 x 11 sheets, and mounted in thrift-store frames. So, just how we like it--custom and personal. We decided to spring for the classic Nelson pendant lamp because it is perfect. I've been waiting for a reason to buy one of those.
BABY GIRL ROOM
Light and breezy (formerly a congested home office). Pretty, but not too girly. Handmade curtains and bedding. Furniture is second hand. Posters made from vintage coloring books, printed on blocks of color and mounted to foam board (easy--no frames or glass). Vintage chair updated with furry slipcover. Thrifty!
