Window Display - Process

Added on January 1, 2008 by Four Design and Photo.

We used food boxes in addition to those supplied by the bakery to add variety in shape and size. Boxes were hot-glued together,  mounted to panels of  Luan, then painted.

Once installed, the panels were able to rest on the floor or lean flat against the wall. The top was secured with two wires, using the existing screws in the store wall.

Instead of using glue, the glitter was applied directly to the wet paint. We tried to use box lids to catch the spare glitter, but there was glitter everywhere--on our feet, clothes, hair, and our dog.

Boxes were slipped over the PVC-pipe framework, then hot-glued together. The robots legs stand in shoe boxes filled with cement. Wooden craft wheels were applied to resemble bolts.

Lauren Totman strings stars and Miss Veronica sprinkles the snow--Finis. Thanks Bob and Ann!
